The ideal candidate will have 10 years’ experience as a Development Manager. Core responsibility is the overall management of the development process for assigned projects beginning with initial site planning through project completion and tenant occupancy. Responsible for the day-to-day management of development projects in various stages of development. Projects range in size from small freestanding, single tenant improvements to development/redevelopment of multi-million-dollar projects. Tasks include, but are not limited to: underwriting, budgeting, scheduling, coordination of the development team, support of the leasing team, management of the entitlement process, and City interface. Associated company support includes: due diligence work for prospective land and building acquisitions. The candidate should work independently on projects with varying degrees of complexity.

Qualifications: Degree (or minor, certificate, specialization) in Real Estate Development, Architecture or Engineering or related business equivalency. Typically, at least 10 years commercial development experience. Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret business documents, to generate reports, to interact and negotiate effectively with co-workers, business partners, City staff, consultants, tenants, buyers, and contractors. Requires working knowledge of financial and real estate terms and principles. Expert at developing and maintaining proformas. Review of financial/business analysis and reports. Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.Requires expert level design, analytical, quantitative skills. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that will have a direct impact on the company.Knowledge and understanding of construction practices/techniques, project controls and building support systems. Record of consistently completing projects on time and on budget.
